ABOUT US
Custom Pharmaceuticals is an
independent contract services provider offering the complete package
from product development through to commercial production.
Custom Pharmaceuticals was
originally set up as a subsidiary company of Custom Packaging Ltd in
Horsham, United Kingdom, which was
founded in 1969. Custom Pharmaceuticals was started in 1979 by Tony
Richardson, who retired in 1991. In 2002 a Management buy-out
occurred by a team formed of Nigel Richardson (Chairman), Neil Baldwin
(Finance Director), Jerry Russell (Business Development Director)
and Carol Greenway now retired (Human Resources Director).
Custom Healthcare comprised a group of companies providing services to the pharmaceutical industry of which Custom Pharmaceuticals is the principle.
The UK business is situated in two
locations in East Sussex. The Hove site houses manufacturing
facilities and the Brighton site houses the state of
the art packaging and laboratory facilities. Both facilities are MHRA
and BRC inspected.
An investment of £5 million
in both plant and equipment has been undertaken over the past 2 years.
In 2007 a manufacturing plant in
Jinan, China (known as
Tripardus) was constructed and is
currently undergoing validation.
We are now focussing on supplying Technical Services from the UK
which offers complete service from formulation through clinical trials to commercial
production.
The UK will concentrate on
manufacturing small scale niche products and packing with the larger
volume products being manufactured in the UK controlled plant in China.
Further developments
and investment are planned
this year for refurbishment of the UK manufacturing facilities.
